This is a biopic that is both classic and bizarre. [Full review in Spanish]

The more you love French music of his peak era -- the ‘50s, ‘60s, and early ‘70s -- the more you’ll enjoy this movie. But his early life was unusual enough that the movie will be fun for those who don’t know his work.

More attention on the creative qualities rather than on the steely resolve of the legendary French crooner would have done better service to this handsome, richly detailed portrait

For those who only know Charles Aznavour as one of those artists whose records grace op shops everywhere, this classy biopic is an eye- and ear-opener.
