When all is said, it’s a hard one to recommend when you can go and watch almost any other animated superhero film and find something bolder and more creative.

Though visually striking, the poorly written film suffers from numerous story issues that will disappoint fans and leave casual viewers scratching their heads.

A Legion of Super-Heroes movie is a daunting task given the sheer size of the team, its futuristic setting and the relative obscurity of its characters, but this film succeeds as an introductory piece.

Make no mistake - this is a Supergirl movie. The villainous plot takes a backseat to teenage Kara's training rivalry & romance. Unfortunately, it feels cheap, rushed, and simple. But for those of us who love the new animation style, at least it's pretty.
