Maybe I’m going soft but it feels like the quality of the film-making has gone up a skoosh since the last effort, Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins.

... As might be expected in a Footsoldier film, there’s plenty of shooting and stabbing by tough old-school geezers, along with treachery, duplicity, and others besides Tate seeking revenge.

The tedious plot drags on for nearly two hours, as a series of similarly one-dimensional blokes stand in the way of Pat's fury.

The sixth installment in this under-the-radar British crime saga doesn’t work miracles, but does manage a taut, brutal and confident showing.
