Hamstrung by a key miscalculation and an unfortunate loss of nerve, it achieves a good deal but falls short of its own aspirations.

A brilliant, daring film, starring actors at the very top of their game.

Both [Jeff] Bridges and [Rosie] Perez are exceptional in this movie that explores the stages of fear and what two people did to overcome them.

Bridges and Oscar-nominated Rosie Perez give heart-rending performances as plane-crash survivors and the film remains a painful reminder of just how fragile life really is.
