Statham, who may be the most reliable B-movie star of the 21st century, does what he can, but his heart doesn’t seem to be in it. He’s punching a clock, and that’s all.

It's very punchy, crunchy, stabby, stabby, shooty, but not funny... it's a lower ranking Stath thing.

The fun is undermined by dialogue that is overmasticated, Russian-accented word mulch. In the end, A Working Man takes itself rather too seriously for a movie that unironically uses Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata as a recurring musical motif.

Jason Statham’s latest film left me grinning from ear to ear, and not for the right reasons. A Working Man is self-aware of its ridiculousness… to a point. If you don’t like hilariously bad movies, this isn’t for you.
