It’s all bloody ultra-violence and comic book excess which is a good change of pace.

Trachtenberg and co-director Josh Wassung keep the action, animation and attention humming along throughout while the screenplay from Micho Robert Rutare intriguingly weaves these three tales together for a killer final act.

Trachtenberg’s imagination here seems literally boundless. The Predator franchise is more than safe in his hands — it’s thriving.

While Predator: Killer of Killers has some decent action scenes and some promise in its epilogue, it’s painfully predictable and left me nostalgic for the ridiculous yet passionate Schwarzenegger-led 80s flick.
