Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is slow-moving, with what seems to be mostly recaps of the previous movie.

On top of taking advantage of modern animation technology and high image quality, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX has created some of the best robot action scenes I’ve seen in quite a while.

This is everything I love about Gundam: political drama in space and giant robots.

GQuuuuuuX is interested in the immediate contrast of having it both ways at once, constantly calling to iconic moments from the original show while ceaselessly prodding at them and twisting them to cast them in new light.
