“Love, Brooklyn is a tender, character-driven film whose emotional honesty and natural performances shine through a relaxed pace and underwritten story.”

The movie itself is such a sanitized and heightened version of Brooklyn that it never feels like a real place where real people live.

This is a small, indie slice-of-life tale and character study. Charming, yes. Riveting, no.

It’s left to the cast to do the best sales job with this underdeveloped material.

The energy from the film evaporated -- it just needed something more.
