Resident Evil is neither a feminist manifesto nor a special-effects landmark. It's just a game.

Resident Evil, adapted from a bloodthirsty computer game, is not bad so much as bewildering.

Essentially the video game on a bigger on a bigger screen than your Playstation.

The visuals are flat and uninspired, the stunts are tired and predictable, and with scane exception the acting is stilted and unengaging.
