The joke turns out to be as much against Canada as the United States, since Moore, perpetrator of Michael Moore's TV Nation, sees as much absurdity there as everywhere else. The result is only sporadically funny.

The writer-director Michael Moore has hit on a sharp idea for a skit... The satire is too toothless to draw blood, though, while the mildly starry cast are surprisingly obtrusive.

It is painful to watch the documentary maverick of Roger and Me make such a botch of his actors in Canadian Bacon.

The film is only sporadically funny, though it never pulls its punches.
