The 3D SFX add to the spectacle. But the third dimension serves as a gimmick rather than a thought or philosophy, as in Wim Wenders's immersive Pina.

ABCD2 is the latest film to recognise that - however you gender your gaze - there is an abiding pleasure in watching bodies in motion, and choreographer-turned-director Remo d'Souza keeps nudging more of them on.

Watching this movie won't make you smarter, but it just might, more than most, leave you feeling happier than you were when you walked in.
