Critics consensus

“A flawed yet fun and fast-paced space adventure, Solo: A Star Wars Story should satisfy newcomers to the saga as well as longtime fans who check their expectations at the theater door.”

A rowdy, exciting and truly exhilarating adventure which, although not perfect, still manages to bring out the small girl or boy in its adoring fans after all these years.

What's onscreen simply isn't magical enough. It might please die-hard fans to know how Han got the last name or how he made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs...But I think even they might be disappointed.

Alden Ehrenreich is a very snappy bit of casting.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is not the perfect Star Wars film, but it's one I’ll gladly accept.
