Animated take on a classic tale is full of positivity.

This most recent and faithful adaptation does the most spectacular job of exploiting the scenery and Heidi's natural capacity for unbridled joy.

Alain Gsponer's adaptation follows precisely the original 19th-cenutry blueprint for Heidi and demonstrates, even in this digital age, the evergreen appeal of picturesque environs, flirty goatherds, and incandescent adorability.

Delightful and charming.
