Not Your Typical Bigfoot Movie

In the once booming, now fading steel town of Portsmouth, Ohio, two friends share a talent for spotting the apelike creature most popularly known as Bigfoot.

In the end, it probably doesn't matter if you think Not Your Typical Bigfoot Movie is in fact a documentary, because the film's psychoanalysis is dull and reductive.

Delaney [director] is clearly at pains to protect his subjects, and the sheer, doomed tenacity of belief against all odds takes the day.

The film has a lot of "information" about Bigfoot, but though Delaney would clearly like to believe in him, the film wisely focuses on something more emotionally tangible.
