Agatha Christie fans will be pleased.

There are delicious moments in the final fifteen minutes of Evil Under The Sun, but what I especially liked about this Christie were the opening scenes the setup.

Acknowledging Hercule Poirot's eccentricities are part of the equation, "Evil Under the Sun" spends entirely too long indulging them. Once it shifts from "The White Poirotus" to the actual mystery, the film improves.

…Evil Under the Sun marks the peak of Ustinov Poirot… Christie’s narrative still works, making for a satisfying, glossy whodunnit with traditional thrills coming directly from dubious characters, waspish dialogue and ingenious plotting…
