Critics consensus

“Well-cast yet derivative, Skyscraper isn't exactly a towering action thriller feat, but it's solidly constructed enough to stand among the genre's more mildly diverting features.”

Skyscraper might be a bit hairy for someone with a fear of heights. Otherwise, it's a predictable single-hero disaster event film.

I really enjoyed it. It's complete nonsense, it's complete derivative.

The unmatched appeal of The Rock makes everything better, transforming this outlandish knockoff into something thrilling and satisfying with a dose of daddy feels for good measure.
