I love these dorks, enough to overlook that the movie's own brio never quite rises to their level.

The film could have benefitted from a tighter edit... However, as it stands, it is a testimony to a group of young girls' resilience.

A compelling film on the phenomenon, Hobbyhorse Revolution celebrates its subject matter with enthusiasm, resulting in a doc which is both deeply moving and endlessly amusing.
