Becoming Cary Grant

A "window into his inner world" that was quietly superb throughout.

And so Becoming Cary Grant falls into that disappointing category of a documentary that, in wanting to do its subject a favor, actually does him a disservice.

The film has an interesting meditative pace and a kind of self-sufficient weight.

This masterfully made film is about the universality of our mere humanity, and how being the biggest star on earth can't heal a broken soul.
