The quirky script from Andrew Shepard Price and Mark Edward Edens, from a story by Price, is amiably directed by Paul Hoen; the cast is uniformly appealing, including Glenndon Chatman as Kyle's best pal.

While there's nothing objectionable about this movie, there isn't much that's compelling, either.

A movie very much of its time, there's no doubting The Luck of the Irish's good intentions... It's just the way these positive themes are executed that is the problem.
