I liked Menjou, doing more than his usual bit, but owing to what may be an alarming atrophy of the maternal instinct I like cute toddlers like Shirley Temple only in their little cribs, or whatever receptacle it is they should be kept in.

This picture is a delight in many respects, for it has been produced so pleasingly and with such efficient portrayals that only a dyed-in-the-wool cynic could fail to be affected by its sterling humor and pathos.

This picture is a good response to that element which claims there is nothing good In pictures. Clean, funny, with thrills and heart appeal all nicely blended.

No matter how you may think you feel about child actors, the Temple infant will get you.
