It’s hard to actively dislike Coming 2 America: sometimes, you just need to have a silly time with a silly movie.

The sequel to the 1988 hit is not without its problems, but it's still mostly fun.

It's lazy, barrel-scraping cinema at its worst.

While the succession subplot does its best to redress the dated gender politics of the original film, it gets lost in the parade of broad, simplistic gags that only intermittently land with any confidence.
