Flay

"Flay" is, at its core, just an OK indie drama about a bickering brother and sister, with some blah supernatural hooey clumsily appended.

As Joe Bob Briggs has been wont to say: “The worst thing a movie can be is boring.” If I may pile on, the second worst thing a movie can be is unwittingly offensive. Flay is both.

While Flay isn't as dull as watching paint dry, the film misses the mark. A few good scares can't make up for plenty of weaker moments, and that's sadly the case here.

Everything culminates in strained dramatics and forced tension as the audience is sure to be scratching their heads in confusion.
