A downbeat yet pungent comedy about the indignities of temp life, the film keenly dissects the tenuousness of camaraderie forged among those deemed disposable, and quietly but unequivocally diagnoses the ills of end-of-millennium corporate culture.

This is a rare film about the way people actually live.

It's not huge on laughs, but the details of the writing and the performances are excellent, with Sprecher landing a lot of uncomfortable truths about relationships and behavior along the way.

This workplace comedy gets its kicks on both lightly Kafkaesque mystery and the disappointment of young people seeking identity outside of work while perched precariously and anonymously on the edge of career opportunity.
