There are some powerful moments but the famous BB's acting equipment fails to measure up to the requirements of the drama.

La Vérité is a film that pushed the boundaries of its era, a scathing examination of the way in which patriarchal societies exert control over women through hypocritical moralizing.

We've all known a Dominique, or been one ourselves, and Clouzot wrings much humanity out of this tragedy.
