The Delegation

Delegation stands as a poignant document which treats the tough subject matter with humanity and restraint.

The narrative momentum occasionally lags, but at least the film doesn’t wallow in sentimentality or offer a predictable path to catharsis.

Delegation is a thought-provoking film that poses many questions and doesn’t pretend that its characters are the ones best suited to answer them, instead watching without judgment to see how real people who have only lived so much act.

Empathetically punctures pomposity of taking crowds of Israeli high-schoolers (or American teens at similar projects) on the ritual tour of Holocaust sites in Europe. Their personal dramas are more important to them than 80-year-old drama around them.
