As important as these issues are, this movie addresses them in the most been-there-done-that manner possible, with the writing feeling like it belongs more in a television sketch than a feature film.

“Employee of the Month” takes a serious issue about toxic office culture and places it under a genre lens. Bloody, mischievous, and comedic, the film manages to get its message across.

This Belgian dark comedy takes a cartoonish approach to its depiction of workplace discrimination and harassment to go along with its cartoonish approach to violence and revenge.

Tragically profound and dreadfully hilariously Employee of The Month is the perfect dark comedy for anyone that has ever wanted to strangle their boss with their own necktie.
