As with all black comedy, audience reactions will vary by taste. We found this one most peculiar.

The Estate is a slick dark-comic thriller-ish endeavor, but it's shallow, tonally uneven and only infrequently funny.

This intentionally trashy satire of misplaced priorities among the wealthy strives to be a "so bad it's good" cult classic. And there's enough here that is good that it's too bad that it is, in fact, ultimately so bad.

Slick and stylish, but toothless, unfunny and, much like its characters, vapid.
