The Devil Below is one of those films where I like the concept and the idea of it more than I do the finished product.

The heroes have all been reduced to just one or two identifiable traits: One's a conspiracy theorist, one's a fortune-hunter, one's religious and so on.

Upon further inspection, it’s obvious there’s more to this movie than what lies on the surface.

While it does stumble with a couple of head-scratching character choices and some all-to-familiar genre moments, there’s more than enough mystery and fleet-footed tension to keep things fun and entertaining.
