Don't expect any sort of action thriller here nor any deep drama, but as a mood piece on the current atmosphere in urban Greece "Wasted Youth" is very satisfying indeed.

In all the impressive output of recent Greek cinema, I can't think of a more fully rendered and honest depiction of Athens, which plays a far greater role here than mere backdrop.
