Guido Michelotti captures this tightrope walk, from the opening aerial shot of Milan, sweeping from its old world charm to its criminal underbelly, to the heart-racing last night.

The Last Night of Amore offers few dramatic surprises to hold much interest. This glossy film—Milan at night looks terrific—goes nowhere slowly.
