Conjures heavy emotions despite its hagiographic hues.

Take a bow, Honey Trehan, and Team Satluj; this is a clear win for filmmakers who want to tell the story of an actual person, time and place, with unwavering conviction.

Satluj listens carefully to those whispers, uncovering one of the darkest chapters of Punjab's militancy years through the story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who exposed the grim arithmetic of disappearances.

Satluj traces the long battle human rights activist Jaswant Singh Kalra fought to uncover the insidious violence embedded in ’90s Punjab—and just like its protagonist, the biopic too fought its own battle to release.
