Critics consensus

“This uninspiring cop thriller doesn't measure up to Chow Yun-Fat's Hong Kong work.”

Hard Boiled, directed by the master of the genre, director John Woo, is a cult favorite. The Corruptor isn't in that league.

The trite story has plenty of distasteful moments.
