Carlota Pereda continues to struggle to match the ferocious magic of Piggy with Found Alive being a tad too formulaic to be anything more than interesting enough background viewing.

Though timely and with its heart in the right place, Found Alive has such a soft pulse that it keeps the film from being the furious scream it intends to be.

Ultimately, the film's real gem, and perhaps its saving grace, is Moretz performance.
