Critics consensus

“Down a Dark Hall is more stylish than scary, although its foreboding atmosphere may raise a few goosebumps among younger viewers.”

Down a Dark Hall eventually goes Down a Convoluted Tunnel, with some admittedly creepy but also just plain crazy sequences.

Rodrigo Cortés' mild supernatural mystery often feels like an incomplete genre exercise; one that reluctantly tiptoes around its "Suspiria"-for-teens premise.

This is a decent modern Gothic thriller handled with sufficient style and a straight face by genre ace Cortés.

...a worthless ordeal that fares much, much worse than one might've feared.
