Did you think the pretentious epicness stopped there?

It either goes too far or not far enough. And it relies so heavily on the deus ex machina of it all (letting the film’s characters acknowledge its existence) that watching them repeatedly attempt to use human ingenuity becomes a futile endeavor...

It’s a tonal nightmare that, like the kaiju corpse no one wants to deal with, leaves a rotten stench in the air.

Satoshi Miki’s What To Do With Dead Kaiju delivers on all fronts. What could have been a narrative that could not fulfill the promise of its interesting premise is turned into an extremely well-structured genre-blend.
